when i actually have the time
i actually read through summa my friend's bloggies
see what they have written and commented

and i actually (third and last 'actually', i promise) discovered something
besides the fact that some of my links arent real links any more,
i have uncovered what a selfish friend i may have become

as we get older
there are less friends but more acquaintances in our lives

that was the theme of one of my journalism class assignment last semester
when i do have the time,
i may scan it and put it up for reads

the point is this
it takes two hands to clap
two to build a friendship
and not necessarily two to ruin it

think about it,
in varsity you no longer sit in the same 'class' in a 'classroom'
-hell, they call it tutorials, now-
therefore it may seem a wee bit challenging to start a new friendship.

'she may just be my friend cos she needs someone who'll take notes for her'

but truth be told,
if you look deep down inside, there may be more to an acquaintance than you know
you may just find a friend
a someone to comfortably confide in

and if you look deeper down inside,
those in the Land of the Unknown may not be gone afterall.

i admit i demand attention almost always
but sometimes
i just feel like having my own little space and having no cares at all
that's when i get to be a weee bit selfish
all i wanna do is wear pyjamas and mope around at home with oprah

yet let it be known,
no man is an island (second and last cliche i promise)
humans need friends, companionship, company
some survive with it, others live for it

hell,
a friend is a friend
my dollies are my dollies
and i may not say it as often as i should
but i love you beautiful people for being part of my life
