pardon me,
i was highly anticipating a brilliant movie

expectations arose,
having just read the book over the weekend

yes, i expected it to be just as thrilling

but i found myself not entirely thrilled by the cinematography

sure,
the locations of filming were fantastic
the artifacts superb
the cast itself was fab

but something was just not quite there

the mystery wasnt portrayed as a mystery;
codes which took a while to be broken in the book were instantly decoded on screen

perhaps it affected me more than bird or jazz
who also read the book; albeit some time ago

the sequence of events were clearly still in my mind
and hence the constant comparison between book and movie

oh well, catch it if you want
but i rather you read it
