one thing i really like about Ramadhan (i.e. the fasting month) is the family-ness of it all.

i shall try to explain.
somehow.

each time it's Ramadhan, abah will set up that blue canvas tent-ish thing overbearing gramma's almost barren lawn

where atuk's swing sits

those foldable tables would be laid; roughly about four or five
matched with stools ; easily more than ten

table cloth set and cleaned too

and there you go!

where we

...that would be me abah mum yana cik pitt cik ira kak sheila ema dak yadi cik sah papa ... hmmm did i miss out anyone else.. oh ya.. even kpoh alya...

would break our fast

gramma usually breaks hers in the kitchen with bibik or anyone else for that matter

yes,
each and every day

insyaAllah

of course with exceptions, inclusions, visitors, neighbours' offering of their feast.

and that whole feeling.

indescribable.

today : not any different

i, as almost always -hehe, no shy-: centre of conversations
retold my day driving and work

haha.

today, i finally :

-learnt how to open the car bonnet

-learnt how to open the engine thingy magicky

-first pump for a car tyre

-learnt to appreciate all those silly magazines that are packed in a polywrap with that silly 'printed matter' sheet on the cover -> cos i did FOUR HUNDRED of those today alone, and paid of course

-did not touch a single schwork. okok, maybe later

-had my mie-sedaap (some Indon instant mee) craving satisfied

basically the list is never exhaustive (or is it?)

yet i aint in any festive mood
