scattered

after they hung up,
all she wanted to do
was to bury herself
deep in the pillows

after they hung up,
all she could feet
was just numbness
in her feverish heart

after they hung up,
all she could afford
was endless stream
of hot tears on skin

after they hung up,
all she asked herself
was what happened
what's wrong with her

she was wrong
she is sorry

she didnt mean to upset him

most of all,
she was upset with herself

for upsetting him
even if it was just for that moment

noon sets in
indifferent

how is she going to
face the rest of her day

will she be able to
hear from him soon

does she have the will to
do up all that she had to do
