i was in line
humming silently
while waiting for him to get my order

a scan-around-the-crew-members
couldnt help but to notice
the increasing number of people
from my race in the 'service' sector

and just as i was about to calculate
the amount of moolah he was prolly earning
... for the day, mind you
which i almost came to decide is meagre

a wham-in-my-face-thing happened

he served me a cuppa water
'hold on a minute, ma'am'
amazed i started to mummble abit
and then he offered another for eve too

astaghafirullah

immediately

regretted
my
split-second
judgment (s.s.j)

a cup of water and heaven KNOWS if it's distilled
may not seem much
but trust me, that gesture
serves as a salient reminder to me

never to judge others

it's a hard thing to do, i admit
s.s.j is a root of most evils

slander
mistrust
distrust
pride
envy

well my assgmt's still unfinished
